About & terms

What this is, where the documents come from, and what it is not.

What this is

A free reference for aircraft maintenance technicians. It holds the full text of three collective bargaining agreements, a search and article browser, and calculators that work out what the pay and vacation tables say for a given step and length of service.

It is free, has no ads, no accounts and no sponsors, and it always will be.

Where the documents come from

Each agreement was extracted from a PDF of the contract. Every contract page carries an “About this copy” note saying where that PDF came from — and where the source was not recorded, it says that instead of guessing.

The Alaska agreement links to the union’s own posted copy. For the American and Southwest agreements the original source page was not recorded, so no link can be shown.

Nothing here is a legal or official copy. The union's published document controls. If this site and that document disagree, that document is right and this one is wrong.

What this is not

It is not the union, the airline, or a law firm. It is not a substitute for your contract, your union representative, or an attorney.

It does not interpret your agreement, decide whether you qualify for anything, or tell you what you are owed. It shows you what a table says and which article it came from.

These agreements change. Letters of agreement, side letters, memoranda of understanding, mid-term raises and arbitration awards can all change what a clause means in practice, and this site may not know about them.

No warranty

The figures and text here are provided as-is. They were extracted from PDFs and may contain errors. They are checked, but they are not guaranteed, and they have not been verified against any signed original.

Do not make a decision that matters — a bid, a transfer, a filing, a resignation — on the basis of something you read here without confirming it with your union representative or your paystub.

Money

This site takes no money from anyone. No advertising, no sponsorship, no donations, no affiliate links, no paid tier.

It accepts nothing — money, hosting, data, or content — from any airline or from anyone acting for one, and nothing from any union.

What is kept

No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking. Your calculator selections and your light or dark preference are stored in your own browser and are never sent anywhere.

Like every website, the host that serves these pages records ordinary request logs.

Affiliation

This site is independent and unofficial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or authorised by American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, AMFA, the TWU-IAM Association, the TWU, the IAM, or the IBT. Those names are the trademarks of their owners and are used here only to identify whose agreement or pay scale is shown.

Corrections and takedown

Found something wrong?

Wrong numbers on a site like this cost people money, so a correction is the most useful thing anyone can send. This site publishes no contact address, so the route is your union representative — they can reach the people who run it.

If you are an airline or a union

If you are a party to one of these agreements and you want a document changed or taken down, it will be done, usually the same day, and there will be no argument about it.

Nothing here is hosted against anyone’s wishes. Where a union publishes its own copy, this site links to it. Where a scanned annex could not be linked, it was retyped rather than reproduced.

If a document names you

Signature blocks in these agreements carry people’s names because the agreements themselves do. If you appear by name and would rather not, it will be removed or redacted, and no explanation is needed.
